Almon Johnson Spooling Unit
This SR001 spooling unit was specifically designed and built to handle Manuli flexible riser. The spooling machine can also handle jumper hoses, umbilical, and long length fibre ropes for deep water moorings. It has a Hagglund motor, and is electro hydraulically driven. The unit is road transportable and comes with level winder, steel foundation and 65te lift beam. Fully loaded it can take 1200m of 6” i.d hose.

The mooring node is for connecting the three legs for the TCMS mooring, and the chafe chain on the upper lug of the node. Built by Vicinay in Spain, the node weights 12 tonne and fits 130mm Shackles .
